Yes, with Como Boat Life you can rent a self-drive boat on Lake Como without a boating license. Before departure, we always provide a full briefing to explain the boat, the navigation rules, and the suggested route, so the experience feels easy and safe.

Como Boat Life experiences start from Como, in a convenient location that allows you to begin cruising straight away and discover some of the most iconic spots on Lake Como.

Our self-drive boats are designed to offer a smooth and curated experience, including an initial briefing, GPS with suggested itinerary, Bluetooth radio, and a large sun awning. The goal is to offer not just a boat rental, but a more authentic and exclusive way to enjoy Lake Como.

In case of bad weather or unsafe navigation conditions, safety always comes first. In these situations, the booking is cancelled and a 100% refund is provided.

The booking is confirmed only after the deposit has been paid. Once the deposit is received, the experience is reserved and secured.

We always recommend arriving 15 minutes before your booked time, so the briefing can be done properly and the departure can remain on schedule.

It depends on the kind of experience you want. 2 hours are ideal to reach Nesso and admire its famous gorge and waterfalls. 3 hours allow for a more complete route up to Bellagio. 4 hours are perfect for a more relaxed experience, with the possibility of arranging a lunch stop as well.

Our self-drive boats can host up to 7 guests. For larger groups, we can organize multiple boats or suggest skipper-led options depending on the experience you are looking for.
